After School Policies and Expectations

Early Release Policy:

It is critical that your child attend the program daily in order to fulfill the mandates of the grant and not risk being dropped from the program. Students should be picked up by 6:00 pm, unless he/she has a parallel program or other commitment that prevents staying until dismissal time. Students walking or riding a bike home will be released at least thirty (30) minutes prior to dark. An Early Release form <insert doc here> must be completed and turned into the ASP prior to early release.

Student/Parent Expectations:

Expectations in behavior will be consistent with the school day (please refer to the Parent Handbook). A maximum of three parent notification notes are allowed before a student will be dismissed from the program. If a student receives three parent notifications at any time during the program they will be dropped from the After School Program and become eligible to re-enroll for the following school year.

Homework Policy:

Homework support is provided daily for one hour. During homework help students will be encouraged to be independent and responsible for getting their work finished. If students do not finish their homework during homework support time they will be expected to finish the homework at home. It is not the responsibility of the staff to grade/check homework. The staff will assist the students as needed.
