August 31 marks International Overdose Awareness Day each year. It’s a day to remember those who have been lost to overdose, acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind, and renew our commitment to end overdose and related harms. One thing #WUSD is doing to #EndOverdose is ensuring that Naloxone is readily accessible on all campuses and that all staff are trained to administer it. Naloxone is a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose when administered in time. Please wear purple for Fentanyl Awareness Day tomorrow. According to the group, Facing Fentanyl, this day was established in remembrance of loved ones that died from fentanyl poisoning and acknowledge the devastation this drug has brought to thousands of affected family members and friends.

WHS Prom is this Saturday, April 1st from 8-11pm at the Double Tree Hotel in Modesto. As a reminder, Prom is a school activity and students are expected to arrive on time, will be released early, and may also be subject to search. Bag checks will be conducted at the door.
