Today we are honoring and remembering the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. A further 1,178 people were injured in the attack, which permanently sank two U.S. Navy battleships (the USS Arizona and the USS Utah) and destroyed 188 aircraft.

Waterford USD music programs are pleased to provide two winter concerts for our district and community. The first will be the combined LWIS/WJHS concert, which will take place at Waterford Jr. High multipurpose room/gym on November 30th. The second concert will feature the Waterford High School music students and will take place on December 7th in the WHS Auditorium.
Both events start at 6:30 pm with doors opening at 6 pm. Admission is free, and concessions will be available for purchase. We hope to see you there!

The fall flu clinic will be on November 15th from 1-5 p.m. at the Child Development Center. Children and adults are invited to come receive a flu or COVID-19 vaccination at no cost.

We hope to see you at Trunk or Treat on Halloween night from 6-8 p.m. in downtown Waterford. Many of our school groups will be there hosting a trunk, including the Transportation Department, music students, Expanded Learning, and more!
With free corn dogs from the Lions Club, a costume contest, a haunted house, and food trucks, it's sure to be a SPOOKTACULAR night!

Did you know that many addictions start right in the medicine cabinets in our own homes? Disposing of unused prescriptions is one way you can help keep your family safe. At the semi-annual drive-thru Drop the Drugs event, you can drop off medications and sharps for safe disposal without ever needing to get out of your car. You can also dispose of medications using the safe disposal box in any police station year-round.
