Waterford Unified School district is pleased to welcome Ms. Toney Henry as the new Director of Special Programs. Ms. Henry has worked in Stanislaus County for 17 years. She has served in administrative roles for the last ten years, including two years as a district administrator and eight years as a site administrator. As a former Instructional Coach, she supported teachers and gained a wealth of experience working with English learners and their families. In addition, Ms. Henry worked in the classroom for thirteen years, spending eight of those years as a Special Education Teacher.
Ms. Henry has shared her excitement to join the Waterford Unified School District team, saying, “I look forward to serving the students, families, and staff. Being able to serve as the Director of Special Programs allows me to return to the work I love, which is improving the learning experience of students who learn differently. The added bonus is ensuring that students who are becoming proficient in English have the support necessary to be successful in school. Most importantly, I’m excited to work with site and district administrators to increase post-secondary pathways for all students!”
Toney Henry begins her new position at Waterford USD in July.
